As well as the Back to Basics courses running throughout the year, here are some of the courses planned for 2012:
Cooking for Fat Loss – £70
Healthy food isn’t always fat loss food, but fat loss foods will always be healthy! Find out what will help you achieve your goals and how best to adapt your current repertoire. On this course you will prepare and cook dishes containing meat and fish, as well as nuts, so it isn’t ideal for vegetarians/vegans or people with nut allergies but will be wheat free. You’ll have lots of great ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as some tasty snacks. Next course is on 14th May.
Sous Vide Cooking – £95
Anyone who watches cookery programmes will be aware of the trend to cook food sous vide (under vacuum). This is where the food is sealed in a plastic bag and cooked in a water bath. The method allows precise control over temperature, infuses great flavour into dishes, and is great for preparing food in advance. You will learn how to cook meat, fish and vegetables sous vide and how to make this work at home for you without the need to buy a water bath. Next course is on 23rd April.
Cooking for New Mums
Introducing your baby to solid foods is always going to be a challenge! We will give you advice on nutrition and the three stages of weaning, and you will work with food combinations that you can experiment with to find out what works for you and your baby. Coming Autumn 2012.
Introduction to Baking – £65
This day covers the basics of baking, introducing you to bread and cake making, and the basics of pastry. As always, there will be some delicious creations to take home! Next course is on 30th May.
Shell Fish – £135
If you like shell fish then you will love this course! Spend a day working with the freshest of ingredients including crab, lobster, mussels, prawns and scallops, and learn how to prepare and cook delicious dishes. Next course is on 9th May.
Curries from Around the World – £95
From India and Sri Lanka to the Far East and beyond, explore the world of spices and produce some unusual and tasty dishes to wow your friends and family. Next course is on 30th April.
